    Our History

    Our History

    Our History

As part of the National and State American Legion, our organization has been active since 1919.  What started as a post-WWI support system has become a constant resource to those who served and those still serving.

    Our Mission

    Our History

    Our Mission

The American Legion was founded on four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. Each of these pillars encompasses a variety of programs that benefit our nation’s veterans, its servicemembers, their families, the youth of America and ordinary citizens.
